Exactly as expected! (A subjective review, duh)
I never take the time to write reviews because why spend so much time on something that will ultimately have no effect on my life? Well in this case, these Airpods have met and exceeded every single one of my expectations and I figured that was worth writing about.Important disclaimers:- OF COURSE this is a subjective opinion, because that is all a review is. Take it with a grain of salt.- Different products work better or worse for different people, it’s just that simple.- When talking about noise cancelling headphones, it’s important to consider them for what they are, not what we think they SHOULD be.THE FIT:OKAY. I am someone who has very small ear cannals. I have spent years trying to find earbuds that fit my ears comfortably. Silicone in-ear tips have always been extremely uncomfortable for me. That being said, I did own the first gen Airpods Pro for a couple of years before buying these Airpods 4. I wanted earbuds that I could exercise with, use for commuting, and use for blocking out sound when I’m at school or on an airplane. The airpods pro fit the bill, but I could only wear them for short periods of time before they would start to seriously hurt. On top of that, they would always slowly come out of my ears. It didn’t matter what size of eartips I used. My ears are just NOT made for in-ear silicone tips. BUT THESE AIRPODS 4!!! Holy smokes they are so comfortable. They never fall out. I can wear them for hours at a time and not even notice them. I haven’t worn a pair of Airpods this comfortable since the gen 2 Airpods. The 3’s didn’t work for me either, but somehow apple really cooked up the ideal fit for these Airpods 4.THE NOISE CANCELLATION:Okay. Obviously, these are NOT going to have the same level of noise reduction as in-ear earbuds because there is no seal created by any silicone tips. If Airpods Pros and silicone tips have always worked for you, just buy those. However, considering that the noise cancellation in these Airpods is ALL driven by software, I have been extremely impressed with the results. It reduces the white noise of annoying sounds like public trains, airplanes, etc. very effectively. While voices and other louder sounds aren’t cancelled completely, when music is playing through the earbuds these noises are quite enough to hardly notice. For me, that’s enough. I don’t need complete silence, I have my over-ear noise cancelling headphones for that.THE SOUND QUALITY:When I say that I was blown away the first time I listened to music on these Airpods, I was NOT kidding. The amount of bass that they managed to pack in to such small, open-eared earbuds is frankly impressive. The sound profile allows for an incredible listening experience no matter what genre of music you listen to (I listen to a wide range of pop, folk, indie, and rap primarily).THE OVERALL VERDICT:These Airpods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation are exactly as I expected them to be. They fit extremely well, the ANC is very acceptable for what they are, and they sound amazing. That’s not to mention the TINY case that they come in, making them so easy to slip anywhere. I have been looking for a solid pair of earbuds with ANC that work with my ears for the longest time now. I’m happy to say that these are everything I’ve ever wanted. If you have had issues with silicone ear-tip earbuds fitting you properly, then these are definitely worth a shot!

Great for everything!
Absolutely love these. They are the first apple pair I’ve bought and I’m so glad I did. They paired with my phone with no issue. The sound is amazing and they read messages to me and allow me to take calls very easily. Everyone can hear me when I’m using them very clear unlike other pairs I’ve used in the past. Love love love. If you are an apple user I strongly suggest just pulling the trigger and buying them. I only wish they stayed charged forever but with that being said they do hold a charge longer than some of the other brands I’ve used. The price is reasonable for the quality you get with these bad boys! Buy them and enjoy your purchase with no regrets. Trust me so worth it!

No Ear Caps but Quality and Background Elimination is very good.
The quality of the sounds is excellent. My only complaint is that It never occurred to me that this product might not have the anti-slip ear caps that allow for better hold in the ear (in my opinion). There are products that you can buy that allow for a more secure hold, however, you have to detach them when you charge them. The good news is these attachments work, the bad news is, you have to remove the buds to charge them, and it’s cumbersome to do because they work! I would have purchased my Pro 2s again just for the ear caps alone.

Excellent AirPods
These renewed – Excellent AirPods work perfectly and I can’t believe I didn’t purchase them sooner with all of the work calls I take on my iPhone! Neither the case nor the AirPods had any damage; they have a perfect battery, charge quickly and the audio quality is excellent. They also came CLEAN! I purchased a case that came with a cleaning tool so I plan to keep them ear-wax free. Great purchase!

I love my AirPods 4
I’m alli-in on the Apple ecosystem, and have previously had some gen. 2 AirPods as well as Airpods Pro with noise cancellation. I always loved the AirPods 2, until the battery got weak. And I *wanted* to love the AirPods Pro, but my ears just don’t work with in-ear tips. They just work their way loose, then fall out, especially if I’m eating or talking. You know, the thing you want to do with AirPods.Enter the AirPods 4 with ANC. I’m in love. It’s the best of both worlds: A form factor like my old AirPods, but with the sound quality and noise cancellation of my Pros. They don’t cancel like my Max’s, but it’s still a noticable improvement when the background noise is knocked out.The Bluetooth connectivity works flawlessly, and it’s an easy matter of pressing the button on the case while near my device — iPhone, iPad, MacBook — to make a quick connection. And they hand off really nicely from my phone to my iPad to my MacBook. As an added bonus, newer generations of Macs and iPhones and iPads can connect to two sets of Airpods at once, something my wife and I now do often while traveling.They seem a little pricey, but, if you catch a good sale, these are a terrific value for media consumption, phone calls, meetings, etc.

The most valuable AirPods to date!
I got these on sale for $99, and they are by far the most valuable AirPods Apple has made to date. The ANC at this price is nothing short of amazing and quite impressive. The adaptive mode is excellent. They stay in your ears very well and the microphone quality is excellent. The only thing I’d advise a buyer is that they are quite slippery handling them in and out of the case by I recommend buying a silicone case for the AirPods case itself, off of Amazon, and it will come with a carabiner to clip on your pants belt loop. Also, the battery life of these is quite exceptional and impressive. Totally valuable, at least at the price I paid for mine; $99.

PRODUCT REVIEWThese were my first AirPods. Coming from Google Pixel products to Apple, I can say these things were very disappointing. My Pixel Buds are far better than these AirPods. The design is quite odd for earbuds, which leads to these things not staying in my ears at all. On top of that, the left AirPods never played any sound from the start. I would NOT recommend these AirPods at all.
