Jim Stuart –
The dogs love it, but I have to give it out sparingly.
My dogs absolutely love this food. The only problem is that it’s expensive so I only use it as a topper. They like it better than their food they like it better than any other treats.

Very expensive but good for elderly dogs
We have a nine year old golden doodle who is quite large and suffers from joint pain. This food is very expensive, but it is a healthy choice since it’s full of beneficial ingredients that are freeze dried and thus retains more nutritional value. We have noticed that our dog has more energy and less difficulty getting up from the floor. We didn’t change anything else regarding his diet.We treat this as a regular treat due to the price. It is more costly to make dog food freeze dried, however, the cost doesn’t make it an affordable option for bigger dogs. You can use this as a topper, but our dog loves the taste so we didn’t want him to end up throwing up this expensive food by eating too much too fast. So we feed it by hand and this makes our dog very happy!

Corgis are stubborn even with quality food.
This is my third review within a year. At first I was disappointed with the product and indicated that in my initial review because my Corgi wouldn’t eat the food. Badlands offered a full refund and their sincere apology, however, I declined the refund. Second review after giving Badlands a second chance, my Corgi began eating the food after I soaked it in warmed water, problem solved. Third review today November 2025, we’re back to square one and our Corgi refuses to eat the food, treats and the Super20 supplement when added to her food. We can’t figure out what the problem is and have finally returned to her other brand of wet and dry food. The upside with the Badlands food is that it’s a high quality food and our Corgi enjoyed it on the second time around, but just wouldn’t eat it in the end. We took all the remaining bags and treats along with the Super20 and donated them to our local shelter. Anyone who owns a Corgi knows how temperamental and stubborn Corgis are, so we gave in and switched back to her desired food. The food is extremely high quality and we would recommend that you give it a try as well did, three times. C

Dogs love them, good treats for training.
We’ve been feeding our two dogs as a topper and treats for awhile, although this is the first time we’ve tried the tripe flavor. Here are the pros and cons:The dogs really like this stuff. It works pretty well for treats, but be aware that this is strictly for treats or as a topper. The bag even notes that this is not meant to be used as the sole source of nutrition. ON the other hand, the bag doesn’t set a limit of how many treats to give per day; I’ve bought freeze-dried liver elsewhere and those bags often say not to feed more than a few a day, which is kind of counterproductive if you’re trying to train your dog. I don’t have that concern here. The treats themselves have a consistency similar to cheetos, and are very light and easy to chew, and are a good size for treats or training snacks. My only reservation is that I usually transfer a couple dozen to a small plastic bag to keep in my pocket, but after a little while they start to disintegrate into powder if I’m walking around.I imagine if your dog is a picky eater you might mix these in with meals to encourage them to eat. That is decidedly not a problem with our two dogs, who will gobble down whatever we put in front of them, so when we use them that way it’s just as a special treat.

Make your dog happy and energetic!
My dog is a Labrador and 11 years old. He LOVES it! I put it on top of his dog food to entice him to eat and he gobblers his food up now. His coat is nice and shiny and he has more energy. I just wish it cost a little less. My dog likes chicken, beef and salmon
